  • Job Description:

    ​The Great Mountains Region is seeking a Business Support Specialist to assist with regional projects.  The position is responsible for retrieving data, creating and distributing various weekly, monthly and quarterly scheduled and ad hoc reports for managers using various databases and company operating systems.  Examines report data to ensure reliability and accuracy through proper documentation and cross-referencing of data sources.  Provides management with a summary of collected data identifying trends or discrepancies.  Additional duties include data entry, preparing communications for internal and external use, assists with Sales and Underwriting ad hoc projects.  The position will also coordinate travel plans and organize / schedule meetings, conferences, luncheons, agency reviews, and help with business promotions. 

    This is a part time position working 25 hours per week. 

  • Qualifications:

    ​Associate's Degree or 2 years related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Qualified candidates will possess general knowledge of commercial insurance policies and practices.   The successful candidate must be able to keep information confidential; effectively prioritize, organize and manage projects and assignments from multiple sources; respond professionally to customer inquiries; and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and with external customers.  Must possess strong customer orientation, accurate data entry skills; interpersonal and communication skills; and a commitment to company values.  Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office products and the ability to navigate on-line reference materials necessary.

  • Job Description:

    Continental Western Group has an immediate opening for an experienced and driven Sr. Business Systems Analyst to work collaboratively with business partners to create business requirements and perform analysis on applications, systems and related software as well as to serve as a liaison between the business partner and the developer on projects.

    Essential duties include:

    • Supporting Project Managers with analysis, project development, translating requirements, gathering data and coordinating business case project charters.
    • Transitioning from Waterfall or Iterative development practices to Lean or Agile practices.
    • Collaboratively leading discussions to convey and gather pertinent project related information.
    • Ensuring senior business leaders have a clear understanding of business solution options related to the project.
    • Performing analysis of customer requests and providing system requirements and project specifications.
    • Ensuring all projects adhere to Sarbanes-Oxley data center and security testing and compliance.
  • Qualifications:

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree; a minimum of 5 years proven experience with systems analysis; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
    • Completion of or working toward AINS, AIT or similar designations is desired
    • Property and Casualty insurance experience is preferred

    Skills and Abilities:

    • Must possess strong logical, analytical and reasoning skills as well as attention to detail
    • Must be able to competently work in all technical phases of systems analysis with minimal supervision
    • Conceptual understanding of relational databases and application design tools is needed
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project and Visio required
    • Experience in Agile is highly beneficial
    • Strong customer and team orientation and the ability to contribute to a cooperative and collaborative work environment with a positive outlook is necessary

  • Qualifications:

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree; a minimum of 5 years experience with new generation BI/Visualization tools, i.e. QlikView, Tableau, Power BI and ETL tools, i.e. Talend, SSIS are preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
    • Masters of Business Administration preferred
    • Property & Casualty insurance experience highly beneficial
